Special Day

Where to start? Last Friday, April 22, my parents arrived to spend Easter weekend with us. The girls were excited to have grandma and grandpa to play with, and I was elated to have relief! Daniel also came home from 3 days of work, so I was quite beat. My sweet friend Glory also paid a surprise visit to deliver these handmade headbands for the girls. Is she so adorable?

As always, grandma came bearing gifts. The girls got the most adorable outfits!

In preparation for my parents' arrival, the girls and I made these fun egg carton egg holders. We set one at each place and put a plastic egg with an Easter joke inside each one. Then, at dinner, we each went around and read our jokes.

Alison made-up her joke: "What did the egg say when he Easter bunny told him a joke?"

"I'm cracking-up!"

Last came Grandma's egg. It was a riddle that went like this: "What is the size of a jellybean, seeter than a chocolate egg, cuter than a Peep, and will hatch in November?"

You can see by her reaction that she got it right away.... and THAT, my friends, is the reason I haven't been blogging. T-I-R-E-D! But, thrilled to be carrying our 4th little Yehbie. Surprise!

Easter 2011

The rainy, chilly weather didn't stop us from having a wonderful Easter! We started off by trying a new church, since our church had an outdoor service and we didn't want to bring the girls out in the rain. The afternoon brought the traditional egg hunt, which I always enjoy seeing 1-year-olds try!

This also happened to be the one time Easter has ever fallen or will ever fall on Daniel's birthday! Poor guy made his own birthday dinner, (my favorite beef bourginion), and opened his gifts to finish off the night. Allison had fun reading his cards to him!

Daniel's Surprise Party

If you know my husband at all, you know he is King of throwing surprise parties. I was SO happy to get him back; and he was TOTALLY surprised!

Awww... well, if you couldn't guess from the pictures, we went to Chuck E. Cheese. This was Daniel's 36th birthday, or "2nd 18th birthday." When he turned 18, he had his party at Chuck E. Cheese. He often takes the girls and comments on how much he wishes he could go with grown-ups... so, that's where the idea came from.

Happy birthday, Babe! Hope you enjoyed the surprise! :)

Chino Youth Museum

I am back! Oh, where to begin... how far do I go back? I'll start with the Chino Youth Museum. This was one of our fun MOPS outings. We had been once before, but the big girls didn't remember it, and it was Sierra's first time. For only $3 per kid, you can't beat it!

Having girls means dolls, dress-up, hair styling, and crafts. So, our first stop was the dress-up section.

Natalie had fun playing "banker" with this cute little guy.

Sierra decided to take a little rest - cracked me up!

Nice scared face, Natalie!

There's a nice little fountain where we all had lunch. You can tell from Allison's face that she wasn't feeling well. We went home and took her temperature, only to be freaked out when it read 107! Luckily some Tylenol and a movie brought it down quickly. Yiles!

New Bathtub Paints!

Sometimes you see things and think, "Now why didn't I think of that?" This is one of those simple, awesome, simply awesome ideas! I got it from Meet the Dubiens.
It was especially fun, as we found new "neon" food coloring at the grocery store. As you can see from the picture below, much fun was had by all. (And, they clean-up no problem!)

Froggy Lunch

Where have I been? Good question! Unfortunately, I have no good answer. All I can say is, sometimes you just need a break... from everything. As much as I love blogging, it's been a nice little blogging break, but I hope to get back in the routine again soon. I hate feeling behind. I'm still taking pictures, so we'll see if I can catch-up!

Anyway, today is my sweet friend Kelly's birthday. We recently went to her house for lunch, and I was so bummed I forgot my camera. Luckily, she took a few pictures with her phone and e-mailed them to me. Just check-out this lunch she made:

Cute. Fun. YUMMY. She is SO amazing! She even used green tortillas for the lillypad quesadillas. Happy birthday, Kelly!

Sunday Dinner with Daddy

Tonight we drove down to Irvine to have dinner at the station with Daniel. It was Sunday family night, so other kids and spouses were there too, which made it a lot of fun!

Carne asada, spanish rice, beans, and homemade mango salsa!

Sierra would not let go of this giant dalmation. It was so adorable!

Of course, what would a visit to the fire station be without playing on the engine?

It's fun to be married to a fireman!

First T-ball Game

Today the girls had their first t-ball game! They were so excited, they could hardly sleep... especially Natalie!

Because they have jersey numbers 1 and 2, they were always first and second at bat. That was a fun quirk!

Once again, it was f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g.

They both did great and had a blast!

Sierra finally woke-up, so I was able to come out of the car and enjoy half of the game!

Due to the cold weather, we skipped out on our promise of frozen yogurt and opted for hot chocolate at home. The girls were totally ok with that!

Go Tigers!
