After a long week of Daniel working, we celebrated his return today by going to all-you-can-eat sushi for lunch with some good friends. Since this can sometimes be an extra-long occasion, I decided to bring along an activity that was BRILLIANT on many levels! (Excuse the bragging...)
Each kid got a baggy of toothpicks and marshmallows.
- They used them to build fun objects
- They pretended to roast the marshmallows over the fake candle
- They used the toothpicks to eat their food, thus making the eating experience more enjoyable.
- The marshmallows were rewards for eating more food, and we didn't have to order dessert!
