Where to start? Last Friday, April 22, my parents arrived to spend Easter weekend with us. The girls were excited to have grandma and grandpa to play with, and I was elated to have relief! Daniel also came home from 3 days of work, so I was quite beat. My sweet friend Glory also paid a surprise visit to deliver these handmade headbands for the girls. Is she so adorable?
As always, grandma came bearing gifts. The girls got the most adorable outfits!
In preparation for my parents' arrival, the girls and I made these fun egg carton egg holders. We set one at each place and put a plastic egg with an Easter joke inside each one. Then, at dinner, we each went around and read our jokes.
Alison made-up her joke: "What did the egg say when he Easter bunny told him a joke?"
"I'm cracking-up!"
Last came Grandma's egg. It was a riddle that went like this: "What is the size of a jellybean, seeter than a chocolate egg, cuter than a Peep, and will hatch in November?"
You can see by her reaction that she got it right away.... and THAT, my friends, is the reason I haven't been blogging. T-I-R-E-D! But, thrilled to be carrying our 4th little Yehbie. Surprise!

PRAISE GOD!!!! What amazing news! I, too, have missed your presence on your blog for the last while and I am so glad to hear your news (and to know that you are ok!). God has amazing plans for your family. You are raising precious daughters of the King and who knows, maybe this will be a little prince? We are celebrating this news here in Nebraska! With love, Kirsten
ReplyDeleteI knew it!!!! When I called you to ask about your van you said something about having removed the second seat but that you'd have to but it back soon. Then you kinda covered it with a quick... or some time. My first thought was she's preggo! But I didn't want to ask since I figured if I was right you'd tell when you were ready. I almost asked you the other night on FB but, again, thought I'd wait and see. Well, CONGRATS! Can't wait to meet him or her!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kir and Karen!! We are super excited, but I wish I could sleep through first trimester. :) It's also been super busy finishing up the MOPS year and the school year, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ironically school and MOPS will finish just as I start 2nd trimester! :) Love you both!
