A good read...

It was Saturday morning. I was tired. Daniel was home. I decided to go to my room and take a nap. I walked in and picked-up this book I got for my birthday. I started to read. I kept reading. I finished the book. What a rare and wonderful thing that was! It's a great book, that really puts the reality of Heaven at the forefront of your mind. I recommend it. Happy reading!

What curriculum do you use?

Hi, Mel. I use "My Father's World." I've really enjoyed the themes and having the girls memorize verses. I do find I do a lot of supplementing, though. Since I'm so new to this, I'm not sure if it's because of the curriculum, or just me. I am looking into others for next year, but may stick with this one. We'll see... :)

I haven't heard of that one yet. I am very new to it as well. Our oldest daughter is 3.5, will be 4 in April, and I have used this last school year to kind of get used to it all and come up with a routine. Sad to say we are not doing very well with it. I decided to try out Joy School and I love that it teaches the joys in life rather than academics only but then I have a hard time coming up with the academics. And there are SO many resources out there as I am sure you know. It is all so overwhelming to me. I guess I am looking for something that is all together for me and already planned out because I feel like I can spend a week planning the lessons but never actually teach them because the resources never end!

Anyway, thanks for the info I will check into that one and add it to my list. I suppose the freedom with home school is you do not have to commit to just one curriculum I just wish it was more cut and dry for someone who has a hard time deciding.
